Ivy looked up at the soft evening sky.
The clouds were turning pink and gold.
One little cloud drifted down… down… down.
"Hello," whispered the cloud. "I'm Sunny."
Sunny glowed with the gentlest light.
Ivy smiled. "Will you stay with me?"
"Always," Sunny said softly.
They floated up together, slow and easy.
The sky felt like a warm blanket around them.
Ivy touched a cloud. It was softer than anything.
"The sky is getting sleepy," she whispered.
Sunny glowed a little softer. "So are we."
But the stars were hiding.
They couldn't find their way through the clouds.
Ivy felt a little worried.
"I know what to do," Ivy said gently.
She hummed a quiet lullaby.
The clouds began to part, slow and easy.
One star peeked through… then another… then more.
"The sky is getting sleepy," Sunny whispered.
A tiny rainbow appeared, soft as a whisper.
It curved across the drowsy sky.
Ivy and Sunny rested on its gentle arc.
The colors hummed their lullaby back to her.
Everything grew softer.
The sky turned deep purple-blue.
"The sky is getting sleepy," Ivy murmured.
Sunny's light was barely glowing now.
Ivy drifted down to her cozy bed.
Sunny settled on her pillow like a dream.
The stars twinkled their goodnights.
Ivy closed her eyes.
The whole sky was falling asleep with her.
