"The water feels like a hug tonight," Bubbles whispered. Milo noticed something… The little starfish in the tide pool looked sad. She couldn't find her favorite smooth stone to sleep on. "We can help," Milo said softly. He and Bubbles slipped into the warm, gentle water. It felt like a hug. The waves rocked them so slowly. They looked under the silky seaweed. They peeked behind a sleepy purple anemone. The water sparkled with tiny lights. But the stone wasn't there. Then Milo remembered… He had seen a smooth white stone near the sleeping crabs. He swam over, moving slow and easy. There it was. Glowing in the moonlight. Milo carried the stone back to the starfish. She curled around it with a happy sigh. "The water feels like a hug," she murmured. The tide pool grew quieter. Bubbles nuzzled close to Milo. Her fur was warm and dry now. All the sea creatures settled down to sleep. The moon hummed a soft, silver song. Milo closed his eyes. The water felt like a hug all around his heart. Everything was safe. Everything was warm. Everything was still.
