Once upon a time, three little pigs lived with their mama in a cozy cottage.
One day, Mama Pig said softly, "You're big enough now to build your own little houses."
She gave each piglet a gentle hug and a basket of warm cookies.
The three little pigs set off down the sunny path, humming a sleepy tune.
The first little pig found a meadow full of golden straw.
"This straw is so soft," he said with a yawn.
He built a little house of straw, perfect for napping.
The second little pig wandered to a quiet wood.
She gathered smooth sticks that smelled like pine trees.
"These sticks will make a lovely house," she whispered.
She built a cozy stick house with a round window.
The third little pig found a spot near a babbling brook.
He carefully chose strong bricks, one by one.
It took longer… but he hummed as he worked.
Soon he had a sturdy brick house with a red door.
One afternoon, a big gray wolf came walking by.
He was hungry and a little bit grumpy.
He saw the straw house and knocked on the door.
"Little pig, may I come in?" he called.
"Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin," said the first little pig.
The wolf huffed… and he puffed… and the straw house tumbled gently down.
But the little pig ran quick as a wink to his sister's stick house.
The wolf followed and knocked on the stick house door.
"Little pigs, may I come in?" he asked.
"Not by the hairs of our chinny-chin-chins," they said together.
The wolf huffed… and he puffed… and the stick house fell softly into a pile.
But both little pigs scampered safely to their brother's brick house.
The wolf arrived at the strong brick house.
He knocked, but the door stayed shut.
"Little pigs, may I come in?" he called.
"Not by the hairs of our chinny-chin-chins," all three pigs said.
The wolf huffed… and he puffed… but the brick house stood firm and strong.
He huffed again… but nothing happened.
The wolf sat down, very tired from all that huffing.
The three little pigs peeked out the window.
"You look tired, Mr. Wolf," said the third little pig kindly.
"Would you like some warm soup instead?"
The wolf's tummy rumbled, and he nodded.
The pigs shared their soup through the window in a bowl.
The wolf took a sip… and smiled for the first time.
"Thank you," he said softly. "That was just what I needed."
From that day on, the wolf stopped by only to say hello.
The three little pigs lived together in the strong brick house.
Every evening, they curled up by the fireplace.
Mama Pig came to visit and told them gentle stories.
The fire crackled softly…
The stars twinkled outside…
And the three little pigs drifted off to sleep, safe and warm and loved, dreaming of golden meadows and sunny days.
