Far away, where the hills meet the stars, there was a garden that glowed softly in the moonlight.
In that garden lived a child named Ollie.
Ollie had a little owl named Pip who sat on their shoulder.
Pip's feathers were soft as dandelion fluff.
One quiet evening, Ollie looked up at the sky.
The stars were twinkling, but they seemed very far away.
"I wish the stars felt closer," Ollie whispered.
Pip hooted gently in their ear.
"Let's find the heart of the garden," Pip said softly.
So Ollie and Pip walked down a winding path.
Lanterns hung from the trees, glowing like tiny moons.
The lanterns hummed a low, sleepy song.
"Follow the glow," Ollie whispered.
"Follow the glow."
They walked past flowers that closed their petals for the night.
The flowers smelled like warm honey and lavender.
A soft breeze rustled the leaves.
It sounded like a lullaby.
But then the path split into three directions.
Ollie stopped and felt a wobbly, fluttery feeling in their tummy.
"Which way leads to the heart of the garden?" they wondered.
Pip ruffled their feathers and blinked their big, round eyes.
"Listen," Pip hooted quietly.
Ollie stood very still.
They listened to the lanterns humming.
One path hummed louder than the others.
Its glow was warmer, like a cozy blanket.
"That's the way," Ollie said bravely.
They chose the warmest path.
"Follow the glow."
The path curved gently through tall, whispering grasses.
The lanterns grew brighter and closer together.
Their light felt like a soft hug.
At last, Ollie reached the heart of the garden.
There stood one enormous lantern, glowing gold and gentle.
Inside the lantern, tiny stars swirled and danced.
The stars were close now, so close Ollie could almost touch them.
"You found it," Pip whispered, nuzzling Ollie's cheek.
Ollie sat down on the soft, mossy ground.
They watched the stars swirl and shimmer.
The lantern hummed its sleepy song.
"Follow the glow," Ollie murmured one last time.
Pip tucked their head under their wing.
Ollie yawned and leaned back against the warm lantern.
The garden wrapped around them like the gentlest dream.
The stars twinkled.
The lanterns hummed.
And Ollie and Pip drifted off to sleep, safe and warm, under the softest light in all the world.
