Once there was a little chicken named Chicken Little.
She lived in a cozy coop with soft straw and warm friends all around.
One quiet afternoon, Chicken Little was resting under an apple tree.
A tiny acorn fell… bonk… right on her head.
"Oh my," she said softly. "Something touched me."
She looked up at the wide, gentle sky.
"Maybe the sky is falling," she wondered.
Chicken Little decided to tell the king, just to be sure.
She walked down the soft dusty road.
Soon she met Henny Penny, pecking for seeds.
"Where are you going?" asked Henny Penny kindly.
"I think the sky might be falling," said Chicken Little. "I'm going to tell the king."
"I'll come with you," said Henny Penny gently.
They walked together, side by side.
Next they met Ducky Lucky, paddling by a quiet pond.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"We think the sky might be falling," they said softly.
"I'll come too," said Ducky Lucky.
So the three friends walked on, calm and slow.
They met Goosey Loosey near a meadow of clover.
"Where are you going?" he called.
"We think the sky might be falling," they said.
"Let me come along," said Goosey Loosey warmly.
The four friends walked together through the golden afternoon.
At last they reached the king's garden.
The kind king listened carefully.
Then he smiled and led them back to the apple tree.
"Look," he said gently, pointing to a little acorn on the ground.
Chicken Little picked it up and laughed a soft, sleepy laugh.
"Oh… it was only an acorn."
The king tucked them all into their cozy coop as the sun set low.
"The sky is safe," he whispered. "And so are you."
Chicken Little snuggled into the warm straw.
Her friends breathed softly all around her.
And they all drifted into the sweetest dreams.
